As cybersecurity threats have increased, we have built a Managed Security Services practice to augment our Managed IT Services, and a Software Development team that builds custom applications when off-the-shelf won’t do. Our web development and content marketing teams support clients as well as our staff, with a collective 60 years of hands-on and consulting experience.
Summit has adapted and evolved through 30+ years of disruptive technologies to help our clients do the same. We have grown organically and through acquisition to build a team of IT and security engineers who are second to none. Originally a Managed Services Provider, Summit has expanded its capabilities well beyond IT support, Network and Cloud Services, because todays’ technology is integrated, interdependent, inseparable, and critically important.
Summit’s people are a diverse, talented group who coalesce around problem solving with the tenacity of a bulldog. Nothing fires up our IT engineers more than a technical challenge they haven’t come across, allbeit someone usually has the answer.
We are technical people and business people with diverse backgrounds that extend beyond computer science and engineering. Our team has degrees that include Marketing, Journalism, Education, Accounting, and Photography that add different perspectives to the business of technology.

President and CEO
Mike brings over 30 years of technical and management experience as a founder of Summit Business Technologies. During his time as President and CEO of Light Industries, the company grew from a small consultancy business to a successful 75-person integration and professional services firm in the dot-com boom. He takes a very hands-on role in every aspect of the business and successfully integrates his managerial, business, and technical skills to lead a team of top flight engineers, developers, and support staff. Mike is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology.

Executive Vice President and Partner
Gary is a founding partner of Summit Business Technologies. He has amassed 30 years of technical and management experience in his previous position as owner and president of Network Business Solutions. Gary’s ability to relate to the concerns of business owners stems from his own experience as a business owner. He is passionate about identifying and developing technology solutions that solve business problems for customers. In his free time, Gary enjoys skiing and drone photography. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Chief Business Officer
Kimberly has over 25 years in the IT industry, wearing many different hats throughout her career. She has been a Technical Trainer, Support Desk Manager for an international bank, Certified Financial Planner, Project Manager, and now manages the business side of the company. Outside of the office, Kimberly enjoys a good margarita, live music, gardening and traveling with her husband. She also enjoys time spent with her three adult children.

Chief Operating and Technology Officer
With over 25 years of experience in information technology, Leo oversees all security operations and systems engineering at Summit, in addition to our Compliance division. Prior to Summit, Leo worked extensively with the largest ACH transfer provider in the US. His expertise spans information security, network management, and application integration. Leo aims to always surpass customer expectations. Outside of work, he has a passion for auto racing, travel and enjoys cigars.
